Set up your monthly gift
Ending hunger starts with you.
Food banks provide a lifeline for thousands of people facing hunger. But it's not right that people in the UK need a food bank to survive.
Month by month, your gift can change this. By helping to provide Packages of Support, you can help end the need for food banks and end UK hunger forever.
Please set up a monthly gift today and help provide a Package of Support to someone like David who felt alone and forgotten. Next month, help someone like Lynsey who was struggling to keep her family afloat after losing her job and becoming disabled.
Person by person, month by month, your support adds up - helping to build a more just society where everyone can afford the essentials and no one needs to use a food bank again. Thank you.
As a reminder of the real difference you’re making, you’ll get a text or email update each month confirming your Package of Support delivery.
Your Package of Support could help provide
Emergency food
Three days’ worth of meals, all adapted to suit dietary needs.
Personal support
A no-judgement welcome, a listening ear and steady, human help when it matters most.
Hope for a fresh start
Community support that helps someone move from difficulty to a more secure future.
Your regular support really makes a difference
You could help people like David, a former sales manager who was out of work due to illness. Anxiety and depression had taken hold in his life, and he didn’t have enough money to get by. David skipped meals, couldn’t afford toiletries, and only put the heating on when his young son came to stay. He felt totally alone and had no other option but to use a food bank.
At the food bank, David was listened to and cared for. He received emergency food and the team helped him get a mattress for his son’s bed.
Since receiving the support he needed, David has become a campaigner with Trussell. He’s appeared in the national media, is engaged in local politics, and writes poetry to bring his experiences to life.
When I got to the food bank, I was overwhelmed and emotional. But the volunteers showed me nothing but empathy. No judgement. Just understanding. I didn’t see a reason to keep going at one stage. But this has got me back on track.
