One Million Minutes
We're proud to be taking part in Good Morning Britain’s One Million Minutes campaign.
Make a difference in your community by volunteering with your local food bank.

Food banks in the Trussell community are supported by an incredible network of volunteers.
There are many different roles available, all of which make a huge difference to ensuring people facing hardship get the support they need.

What does volunteering involve?
Take a look at some of the volunteering roles which may be available at your local food bank.
Warehouse support
Be part of an amazing team making sure that everyone who needs an emergency food parcel gets one. You’ll pack food parcels, rotate stock, and may have the chance to welcome people into the food bank.
Delivery driver
You’ll play a vital role in delivering emergency food parcels directly to people’s homes. This service is essential for people who are unable to reach food banks due to health, mobility, or other challenges.
Parcel packer
This role is an integral part of the food bank team, you'll be speaking to clients and learning about their household and which essentials they need, before packing bespoke parcels for them.
Food bank greeter
Your face will be the first one people see when they enter the food bank! That’s why big friendly smiles, a warm and welcoming attitude, and empathy are vital for people wanting to volunteer in this incredible role.
Community campaigner
Help spread the word about your local food bank. Whether it be out at your local community events raising awareness, or meeting people in your local supermarket at a food drive, your local food bank needs you!
